Creamy rice pudding recipe

Creamy rice pudding is a recipe of Asian origin, and it has become popular in Brazil and it is common to find rice with sugar in typical dishes.

For our creamy rice pudding recipe:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of rice
  • 2 and 1/2 cups of water
  • 5 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can of sour cream
  • sugar to taste
  • cinnamon powder or flakes (or grated coconut)

How to prepare:

  • Add the water, rice and cinnamon and let it boil until the water dries.
  • Then add the milk, vanilla, sugar and condensed milk, stirring constantly.
  • Let it boil for 15 minutes and add the cream, stir.
  • Boil for another 5 minutes and it's ready.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • It can be served hot or cold depending on taste.
