Prestige jar cake, a craze among Brazilians in recent years, appearing on the menus of confectioners and bakeries.

For our Prestige Jar Cake:
Sponge:
- 420 grams of wheat flour
- 360 ml of water
- 240 ml of oil
- 2 cups of refined sugar
- 1 cup of chocolate powder 32%
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 eggs
Filling:
- 395 grams of condensed milk
- 300 grams of cream
- 200 ml coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 100 grams of dry grated coconut
How to prepare:
Cake
- Beat the eggs and sugar in a mixer until you get a light, smooth cream. Set aside;
- Mix the flour and chocolate until smooth in a bowl. Set aside;
- Mix water and oil in a bowl. Set aside;
- Add these two mixtures, alternately, to the egg and sugar cream while beating with the mixer;
- When the prestige jar cake batter is smooth, add the yeast and baking soda;
- Transfer the cake batter in the jar to a greased and floured baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for about 40 minutes or until golden;
- Remove from the oven, wait for it to cool, unmold and set aside.
Filling
- Place the condensed milk, butter, coconut milk and grated coconut in a pan and mix until smooth;
- Place over low heat and continue stirring until it comes away from the bottom of the pan;
- Turn off the heat, add the cream and stir until the mixture is smooth;
- Wait for it to cool before filling the jar cake.
Cake Assembly
- Cut the cake into slices, the size of the pot you are going to use, using a glass or round cutter;
- Assemble the prestige jar cake by placing a little of the filling at the bottom;
- Alternate a slice of cake and a little filling until the jar is full;
- Finish with a prestige topping and decorate with grated coconut;
- Cover the prestige jar cake and store in the refrigerator before serving.
