“Carrot Cake” Have you ever wondered who had the brilliant idea of turning carrots into a cake? Even today, it is somewhat unusual to use a vegetable to make cakes. However, the result of this combination could not have turned out better.
This incredible cake is among the most searched recipes in Brazil and even has a commemorative date: February 3rd, the commemorative day for our recipe.
TO PREPARE OUR CARROT CAKE:
- 1/2 cup of tea
- 4 eggs
- 3 medium grated carrots
- 2 and 1/2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 2 cups (tea) of sugar
- 1 spoon (soup) of baking powder
FOR OUR COVERAGE:
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 3 tablespoons of powdered chocolate
- 1 cup (tea) milk
- 1 cup (tea) of sugar
HOW TO PREPARE OUR DOUGH:
- In a blender, add the carrot, eggs and oil, then mix.
- Add the sugar and beat again for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl or mixer, add the wheat flour and then mix again.
- Add the yeast and mix slowly with a spoon.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180° C for approximately 40 minutes.
OUR COVERAGE:
- Pour the butter, chocolate powder, sugar and milk into a bowl, then mix.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and continue stirring until it reaches a creamy consistency, then pour the syrup over the cake.
